Many of us spend a lot of our pregnancy thinking about and preparing for childbirth. But most of us don’t think much about breastfeeding at all before baby gets here.
After all, women have been breastfeeding for ages, so it’s bound to come naturally, right??
WRONG.
Although it might be natural, breastfeeding often doesn’t come naturally.
In fact, for many, MANY new parents, breastfeeding is really challenging and filled with a whole lot of road bumps.
And trust me when I tell you that every parent who’s struggled with breastfeeding and spent hours hooked up to a pump knows that there is absolutely such a thing as crying over spilled milk.
If you have the right support, breastfeeding really can be magical for you and your baby.
I get it, you might be totally rolling your eyes on the other side of the screen thinking, “No way! This is never going to be something that I enjoy.”
I get it because I said this exact thing over and over and over again.
But once you identify your goals and get the help and support you need, it truly makes a world of difference. And you might be surprised at how much you look forward to this part of the day with your baby.
Of course, when it comes to infant and toddler nutrition, we don’t just worry about breastfeeding.
From the day our baby is born, we go from not really caring much about what other people eat and definitely not thinking much about other people’s bathroom habits to constantly thinking about, tracking, and discussing our baby’s eating and bathroom habits. 🤣
And on top of breastfeeding questions, we’re also thinking about gas problems, bottle feeding, constipation, diaper changes, starting solids, picky eating, and so much more.
